The Pittsburgh Police Hockey Team
Created in the fall of 1997, and founded for two reasons. To work with our communities and take a leadership role in community development activities in the Pittsburgh region, by playing in charity games, and team fundraisers. Second, to play hockey at a competitive level and foster camaraderie between fellow Police Officers, Medics, and other members of Public Safety.
These Officers donate their time and efforts to raise funds for the teams and organizations we support. We do not ask for anything. The teams that we play keep all funds, or direct them to the charities of their choice. Furthermore, by introducing the sport of amateur hockey to various groups, the Pittsburgh Icemen
promote teamwork, dedication, and good sportsmanship.
